St. John’s Wort
Studies have shown St. John’s wort to ease moderate nervous depressions. It has a tonic effect on anxiety conditions (stress, insomnia) – “it improves mood and raises spirits”. Unlike anti-depressants, it does not create dependence, nor does it depress libido – on the contrary. Use as a liver and biliary tonic, as well as to treat period- and menopause-related disorders. Avoid before exposure to the sun.
